Is there a required template for my presentation?
No, there is no required template for your slideshow presentation. All PowerPoint presentations should be formatted to a 16:9 format. Please create your slides however you’d like and ensure that it will be presented in the allotted time given.
Do I need to upload my presentation beforehand?
Podium presentations do not need to be uploaded before the meeting. Presentations must be uploaded in the Speaker Ready Room at least two hours prior to your session. You will need to provide your presentations to Speaker Ready on a USB/portable drive or have it available somewhere you can download onto a USB prior to arriving (i.e. Dropbox or Google Drive). Please note that individual laptop computers will not be allowed at the podium and the Presenter View feature is not available. We recommend that if you need your “Presenter View” notes that you print them in advance.
Electronic Posters are required to submit their posters before the deadline. The upload link and deadline are emailed to all presenting authors.
How long is my presentation?
The allotted time varies based on your abstract presentation type. Please see the times below for each presentation type. Faculty speakers please refer to your invitation emails.
AAHS Podium Papers: Two (2) minutes for presentation, One (1) minute for discussion.
Electronic Posters: There are no oral presentations for electronic posters, electronic posters are displayed during the entirety of the AAHS meeting.
When are electronic posters on display?
Electronic posters are displayed on electronic kiosk screens throughout the duration of the meeting program. The meeting encourages attendees to visit posters during all scheduled breaks in the program.
Do I need to register or reserve a room for the meeting?
Yes, all presenters and faculty are required to register and secure housing accommodation.
